There are various types of jewelry, produced in different materials, which require different types of techniques. Silver jewelry requires different handling than jewelry made of steel or gold, for example. Besides the variety of materials, your jewelry can come from artisanal or industrial processes.
All MESH jewelry is produced in our workshops, handcrafted, with techniques inspired by the family heritage of our founders, combined with the current twist of the industry's most advanced techniques. In our workshop, we use the wax mold method, which, although a more time-consuming and costly process, allows us to give our jewelry the most delicate details and final finish. Follow this step-by-step to learn how a piece of jewelry is produced in our workshops!
#1 DESIGN AND CREATIVE PROCESS
Our collections always start with a moodboard of ideas, inspirations, and trends, which we use as a basis to create the pieces or collection. These are first drawn and then recreated with 3D techniques on the computer.

#2 3D PRINTING AND MOLD CREATION
After the 3D designs are completed, they come to life in a 3D wax printer. The various prints are then manually joined to a common trunk, in an object we call a "tree." This tree is placed in a cylindrical casing and surrounded by plaster, which goes into a high-temperature oven to solidify the plaster and melt the wax, creating a negative mold of the pieces.

#3 SELECTION OF RAW MATERIAL AND CASTING PROCESS
It is at this stage that we select our 100% recycled silver, subject it to high temperatures to melt it and insert it into the previously created plaster molds. When the silver cools, we obtain the structural pieces of the jewelry.

From the casting cylinder come the various pieces in “tree” form which are then cut and soldered to the remaining parts: posts on earrings, chains on necklaces and bracelets, etc.
Here the pieces take their final shape, and the edges and necessary details are sanded and filed.
At the end, the pieces are polished with a synthetic brush, which spins at high speed, where a slight wear is made on the pieces to remove scratches, slight deformities, and then they are buffed to bring out the shine.

#5 FINAL FINISHING
Finally, the final finishes are done, whether giving a satin or polished look, setting stones and zircons or pearls.
#6 PRECIOUS METAL PLATING
Once the piece is polished and cleaned, it is given an 18K gold or rhodium plating in the case of silver pieces. In this process, the silver piece is submerged in a chemical solution containing the precious metal, using electric current to fix the gold or rhodium to the silver. This is followed by a drying process.
To ensure that the plating of our pieces has greater durability, a final protective layer is applied over the plating, a treatment called e-coating.
Now your jewelry is ready to be worn, letting your imagination run wild to create the coolest and most daring looks!

This is the production process of our jewelry, which allows the level of detail and MESH quality, made entirely in-house and by hand by our artisans. It is this manual work and techniques passed down from generation to generation that give value to MESH jewelry.
